“ Me and my friends came here two nights ago, upon recommendation of our AirBnB host Kurt - and we were blown away! Umberto and his wife were the most welcoming and charming hosts. They managed to make our night there really special. We received a delicious, (to our dietary preferences) customized tasting menu by the light of only one table candelabra. The atmosphere was enchanting, and we were completely absorbed in the mouth-watering delicacies served, as well as Umberto’s family history and stories about the place itself. The interior, complete with medieval furniture, dishes and decorations, was just as fascinating as the treats offered - all ingredients locally produced or even home grown. The price for this unique dining experience (and that’s what it was - a real experience! ;)) was more than fair, even on the lower side & absolutely worth it! A definite must-visit for all food enthusiasts and worshippers of the peculiar! ;)) ”

“ This is our second dinner at this wonderful restaurant, with its meticulously crafted medieval setting. It's warm and welcoming, with a truly magical atmosphere, enhanced by the fact that you dine only by candlelight! There's no electricity, and in the winter, there are gorgeous fireplaces! The menu is varied, with traditional and non-traditional dishes beautifully presented and cooked. The wine list is interesting, varied, and comprehensive. After dinner, we stayed chatting with Alessandra, who serves the dishes, and her husband, Umberto, the restaurant's chef, for over two hours, which flew by! They were two lovely people who also told us the restaurant's history. Excellent value, and most of the ingredients used are locally sourced, all from local producers. We'll definitely be back to try other specialties and for the owners' friendliness and helpfulness. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! IT'S AN EXPERIENCE YOU MUST TRY! ”
